Pathetic, that she is suing or pathetic she got treated the way she did. One thing I found out is that when it comes to respecting the authorities that God has placed in office is that those who hold office don’t respect anything. Texas state law says you can fire people without cause but if you give a cause then it better be inline with state law. If we call ourselves people of the Book then when need to honor laws. If it was wrong for Klouda to work there in God eyes then we serve a God who is capable of moving her somewhere else. We have to be humble and let God be God. As baptist we have a problem with letting God be God and also with the humility thing. I feel the action she is taking is not one of self ambition but the result of others self ambition which put her in the spot she is in now.
It’s now not only a theological issue, but is an issue of character. SWBTS could have avoided this in many ways. Theological positions never give us the right to treat people like that. Now, they will “Show [Dr. Klouda] the money!”
I did enjoy my 7 years under Dr. Hemphill.
I’m sorry SWBTS has gone down this path. I hope this turns around for the kingdom’s sake.
PATHETIC! “He who lives only for himself is truly dead to others.” Thomas a` Kempis, The Imitation of Christ.
“Beware of no man more than yourself; we carry our worst enemies within us.” Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
